The Chicago Tribune again names Medline among ‘Top Workplaces’

Medline has been named to the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces 2022 list, recognizing companies that successfully “recruit and retain the best employees while also cultivating loyalty.”

“Strong leadership, a culture of collaboration and communication, and a commitment to helping employees advance their careers are fundamental strengths that the companies in our report share,” according to the Tribune.

Medline was named among 28 large companies with 1,000 employees or more. The list includes 192 small, medium and large companies selected based on employee survey results administered in July of this year. Medline employs more than 34,000 people in over 125 countries, and has been named to the Tribune’s “Top Workplaces” list for 12 of the past 13 years.

“Medline is a fast-growing, customer-focused company, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone thrives,” said Medline Chief Human Resources Officer Karen Ferraro. “Medline’s global headquarters are in the Chicago area and it’s an honor to be recognized among the Tribune’s Top Workplaces 2022.”

Operating on behalf of the Chicago Tribune, Energage, LLC randomly surveyed nearly 2,800 Medline employees on a set of statements gauging their feelings toward the workplace using a seven-point scale. The statements focused on issues such as leadership of the company, execution and connection. A numerical value was attached to each statement, allowing Energage to create an overall score for each company.

Medline is a healthcare manufacturer, distributor and solutions partner, and the choice of 70% percent of U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll Hospitals.

The company is routinely named to best employer lists. This year, in addition to receiving the Chicago Tribune Top Workplace recognition, Medline was named to Forbes 2022 America’s Best Large Employers, America’s Best Employers for New Grads, America’s Best Employers for Women and America’s Best Employers by State lists.
