The annual asphalt overlay program began today and will improve more than 10 centerline miles on 44 city streets or street sections during the 2022 construction season.

The program is part of the City’s yearly street maintenance activity and is budgeted as $2.8 million for Fiscal Year 2022 which includes approximately $850,800 to bring curb ramps up to ADA compliance along the overlaid streets. Unlike street reconstruction projects, property owners are not assessed for costs associated with the asphalt overlay program. 

The following streets are scheduled for partial or complete asphalt overlay this construction season:

E. 15th St.  – Railroad tracks to Sycamore St.
