Sunday, April 13: Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s college team wins to Valparaiso Beacons

On Sunday, April 13, former Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s current college team, the Illinois State Redbirds, won 5-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Valparaiso Beacons.

The game took place at Valpo Softball Complex. This was their third matchup against the Beacons this season.

The Redbirds’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, April 17 at 5 p.m. at Marian Kneer Stadium against Missouri State Bears.
