On Friday, March 7, former Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s college team won in an NCAA Division I softball game

On Friday, March 7, former Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s current college team, the Illinois State Redbirds, won 10-7 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Central Arkansas Bears.

The game took place at Farris Fields Complex. This was their first matchup against the Bears this season.

The Redbirds’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Farris Fields Complex against Omaha Mavericks.
