On Saturday, March 8, former Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s current college team, the Illinois State Redbirds, lost 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Omaha Mavericks.

The game took place at Farris Fields Complex. This was their second matchup against the Mavericks this season.

The Redbirds’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 4 p.m. at Farris Fields Complex against Central Arkansas Bears.
