Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s college team lost in NCAA Division I softball game on Thursday, Feb. 13

On Thursday, Feb. 13, former Hempstead High School standout Gracelyn Kemp’s current college team, the Illinois State Redbirds, lost 1-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the BYU Cougars.

The game took place at Nancy Almaraz Field. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.

The Redbirds’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. at Nancy Almaraz Field against FIU Golden Panthers.
