Census Bureau: 76% of people in Delaware County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 17,508 citizens living in Delaware County in 2021, 76% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,298 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 6,704 were male, constituting 50.4%, and 6,594 were female, making up 49.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Delaware County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
