Applications Open for Dubuque's Equitable Community Grant Program

The City of Dubuque Office of Equity and Human Rights is now accepting applications for the new Dubuque Equitable Community Grant.

The Dubuque Equitable Community Grant provides one eligible non-profit, business, club, organization, or group of passionate residents, with up to $10,000 to support programs, activities, or services that help promote equity in the Dubuque community. Proposals must include an education and/or engagement component and advance equity relating to one of the City of Dubuque’s five-year goals:

  • Robust Local Economy
  • Vibrant Community
  • Livable Neighborhoods and Housing
  • Financially Responsible, High-Performance City Organization
  • Sustainable Environment
  • Partnership for a Better Dubuque
  • Diversity Arts, Culture, Parks, and Recreation Experiences and Activities
  • Connected Community
“The Office of Equity and Human Rights is excited to announce the Dubuque Equitable Community Grant. We are looking to support a project annually that reflects the diversity and vibrancy of our community and that helps make our community a more inclusive place to live and work,” said Chief of Equity & Human Rights Gisella Aitken-Shadle.

Applications are due Wednesday, March 1, at 5 p.m. and will be reviewed by the City’s Equity and Human Rights Office and the City of Dubuque Equity and Human Rights Commission.
