Dubuque Mayor Brad Cavanagh will deliver his first State of the City Address at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24.
The public is invited to attend this free event in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Historic Federal Building at 350 W. Sixth Street. The event will also be broadcast live on CityChannel Dubuque (Mediacom channels 8 and 117.2) and streamed live at www.cityofdubuque.org/livestream and www.facebook.com/CityOfDubuque.
"We have had many successes that need to be celebrated and lifted up for all to see, but I would also like us to look ahead," said Cavanagh. "There are many challenges and opportunities on the horizon, and we are making plans to address each of these head-on."
Cavanagh said he hopes his remarks leave listeners with a sense of accomplishment and pride in Dubuque's successes, a sense of purpose and resolve to tackle the issues ahead, and a sense of inspiration to continue to dream of the Dubuque everyone wants to create for generations to come.
