Piano Fondue: Dueling Pianos to Bring Interactive, Sing-Along Show to Heritage Center

Piano Fondue: Dueling Pianos will bring its fully-interactive, high-energy, sing-along show to the 10th annual Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Babka Theatre, Heritage Center on the University of Dubuque campus.

- Public: $30

Ticket prices increase by $5 at midnight the day of the event.

Two entertainers will take their places behind two baby grand pianos on stage during Piano Fondue: Dueling Pianos, and the audience will control the set list on their smartphones. Audience members will be able to visit Piano Fondue's request website, view the set list, and manipulate it in real-time. They will be able to add songs to the list or move songs around. The whole show is crowdsourced.

In 2005, Josh Dupont started Piano Fondue: Dueling Pianos with fellow musician and co-founder, Chris Lange. Dupont and his wife, Francie Phelps, run Piano Fondue as a family business, employing over a dozen musicians and technicians.

A free pre-show reception for "The Driftless Art of Gail Chavenelle, Jenna Lueck, and Henry Matthiessen III" will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Bisignano Art Gallery before Piano Fondue: Dueling Pianos. The exhibit will be open Tuesday, November 1, 2022, through Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Tickets for Piano Fondue: Dueling Pianos can be purchased from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 90 minutes prior to events at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street; by calling 563.585.SHOW; or by visiting www.dbq.edu/HeritageCenter.

New this season, the Heritage Performing Arts Loyalty System (H-PALS) allows patrons to earn rewards. For every $200 spent on eligible events, patrons receive one free ticket (valued up to $50) to their choice of eligible event. For more details, please visit www.dbq.edu/HeritageCenter.
