The new owners of the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville announced plans to invest $80 million to create 9 baseball and softball fields, team dormitories, a hotel, 100,000-square-foot fieldhouse, an outdoor concert amphitheater, an RV park, a large park inclusive for children and adults with disabilities, and jogging trails throughout the cornfields surrounding the site.
This development will be north of the movie site. An MLB game, Cubs vs. Reds, will be played on August 11, 2022. Tickets are not yet for sale.
