Regional Medical Center issued the following announcement on November 19.
Beginning on Monday, November 22, 2021, Delaware County Public Health (DCPH) will be a drop-off site for the free State Hygienic Lab (SHL) At-Home COVID Test Kits during the winter months. Due to cold weather, these completed test kits can no longer be dropped at outside UPS drop boxes. Samples CANNOT be frozen.
Completed SHL At-Home COVID Test Kits can be dropped off at the RMC East Office Building located at 613 W. Main St. in Manchester, Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. To ensure your test sample is delivered same-day to the SHL, your kit must be dropped off no later than 12PM. If your kit is dropped off after 12PM, it will be sent to the SHL the next business day. When you arrive at the RMC East Office Building, wear a face mask and ring the outside doorbell and inform staff you are there to drop off a test kit to send to the SHL. Find alternate drop off locations at testiowa.com.
As a reminder, these free SHL At-Home COVID Test Kits are not rapid tests. Results are typically available via email in 3-5 days. Your healthcare provider will not have these results. They are emailed to you.
If you need a free SHL At-Home COVID Test Kit, you can pick them up at the RMC East Office Building, 613 W. Main St., Manchester, Monday-Friday from 8AM-4PM. Contact Delaware County Public Health with any questions at 563-927-7551.
