Platt Street Update

2

City of Maquoketa issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.

The surface course paving has been tentatively rescheduled to Tuesday, November 16 and Wednesday, November 17 due to weather conditions. It is possible that the paving operation could resume as soon as Monday, but with the weather that is forecasted, Tuesday is more likely.

After the surface course paving is completed on Tuesday and Wednesday, temporary pavement striping will be installed Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19.

During the surface course paving and temporary striping operations, limited sections of Platt street will be intermittently closed to ALL traffic for periods of up to several hours to allow cooling/hardening of the pavement and curing of the striping (at different times).

New roadway signs are scheduled to be installed on Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23. The goal is to have the detour completely removed and all traffic returned to Platt Street by Wednesday, November 24th.
