Dubuque residents are invited to take part in developing the city’s budget through a series of upcoming virtual public meetings.
The budget is for fiscal year 2022 and runs through July 1, 2021 to June 20, 2022. There are meetings scheduled at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, Thursday, Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 10, a city press release reported. During the meeting, city staff will provide information on the budget process and attendees will be given time to provide feedback on what they would like to see. Staff will take that input which will be used to assist in the development of the budget which in turn will be submitted to the city council. There will be additional opportunities during public meetings in February and March. The budget must be completed by March 31.
