The Jule is offering free bus rides to the polls this election season.

The Jule, the City of Dubuque's public transportation system, has suspended fares until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Voters will be able to ride to the polls free of charge on Election Day or for early in-person voting or to drop off their mail-in ballot.

"Ride to Vote" hours are 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. through fixed-route and on-demand service. Fixed-route buses will provide service to bus stops that are within walking distance of polling sites in the city.

If required, assistance will be provided by transportation services staff to navigate from a fixed-route bus stop to the nearest polling place. Details of fixed-route bus stops and polling places can be found here. Find your polling place here.

Face coverings are required to ride The Jule. More information can be found by contacting The Jule at 563.589.4266 or transit@cityofdubuque.org.
