City of Polk recently issued the following announcement.

Polk City Utility Bill Assistance Program Related to COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Polk City will begin accepting applications for a Low to Moderate Income Utility Bill Assistance Program.  Applications will be accepted for residential property owners residing in the Corporate City Limits of Polk City.  Eligibility for participation is established according to the Low-to-moderate income levels defined by Polk County, Iowa as outlined below.

Please click here for an application form.  Completed applications and required documents can be emailed to support@polkcityia.gov, mailed to The City of Polk City, PO Box 426, Polk City IA 50226 or dropped off in the water payment drop box available 24/7 outside the front door of City Hall.  Maximum reimbursement amounts up to $125 per month, subject to Polk City Utility Bill amount, a maximum of three times within a calendar year.
