The percentage of unemployed residents was less than the statewide total of 32.5 percent for this demographic group. In 2018 the total Asbury population reached 3,887.

Out of 2,703 people who had a job, 14 were employed in the Armed Forces and 2,689 belonged to the civilian labor force.
