The mayor of Dubuque is hoping to flatten the curve of COVID-19 with a new stay-at-home order that will last for two weeks, according to Telegraph Herald.

Roy Buol urged that all residents stay inside their homes for the next 14 days, and if they have to leave to fresh air or exercise, to still comply with social distancing rules.

“Each day, we are seeing more and more positive cases of COVID-19 in our state and our county. At this point, the only way we can prevent the continued spread of the virus and strains on our health care system is for everyone to take personal responsibility by staying home as much as they can," Buol said, according to Telegraph Herald.

The order came just hours after two additional coronavirus cases were confirmed on March 24. As of then, there was a total of 105 cases throughout the State of Iowa.
