State Rep. Shannon Lundgren (R-Peosta), the House majority leader, recently became one of two representatives from the Iowa House on the Children’s Behavioral Health System State Board.

"We had a great Children’s Mental Health Board Meeting in Cedar Rapids today. I am proud to serve on this board to help design our Children’s Mental Health System in the state based on the legislation we passed last session,” read a post on Lundgren’s Facebook campaign page. “We have a great team working on this issue and I am looking forward to this program and its services coming to fruition."

The Children’s Board is responsible for overseeing and administering the children’s state mental health system.

Lundgren’s family has owned and operated the Trackside Bar & Grill in Peosta since 2006. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she was the general manager of the Dubuque County Fair.
