City of Maquoketa recently issued the following announcement.

Maquoketa Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of full-time 9-1-1 Emergency Services Dispatcher. This position requires the ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergency and non-emergency situations reported to the Jackson County 911 Dispatch Center. Under stress the applicant must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements:  High School graduate or GED, at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license, and be of good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation and fingerprint check. No felony or aggravated misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must be able to work all shifts on a rotating basis, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Current salary range is $37,667 to $49,800 with City of Maquoketa benefit package. The salary range will increase to $41,377 to $54,704 starting July 1, 2022.
